Join the UNLV University Libraries for "Decolonizing Wikipedia: An edit-a-thon to Strengthen the Representation of Indigenous People and Communities" on Wednesday, November 6 from 1:30-4:30 p.m. in the Amargosa Room at Lied Library.
Inspired by Native American Heritage Month, the UNLV University Libraries are hosting a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focused on Indigenous People and Communities in the Americas.
A Wikipedia Edit-a-thon is an event where people come together to help build the world’s most popular online research tool. People of all identities are welcome to participate. It's a great way to do your part to improve Wikipedia and begin to acquire new skills.
No previous Wikipedia editing experience is necessary; training and resources will be provided. Feel free to bring your own laptop.
This event is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the community.
