New Report: Trends for Big Las Vegas Strip Casinos, 2007-2013

By David G. Schwartz on January 10, 2014 3:35 PM | Permalink

While drafting the 2013 Big Strip Casino report, I asked myself the inevitable question: How did this year's numbers compare with previous years. I figured that other people would be just as curious, and I figured that there was no reason to keep these numbers to myself. Some spreadsheet-massaging later, I present to you:

Trends for Big Las Vegas Strip Casinos, 2007-2013
The “Average Big Strip Casino” reports for their respective years give snapshots of how Las Vegas casinos earning over $72 million a year in gaming revenue are performing. This report shows how revenues and expenses have tracked over time.

I think you'll find a lot of interesting stuff in this report. For example, gaming revenue bucked the trend of decreasing relative to total revenues, and slightly increased. And while complimentary expenses now exceed pre-recession highs, gaming revenues still do not.
