Welcome Mellanye!

Welcome to the New HSL Director, Mellanye Lackey!

Mellanye Lackey, MSI, joins UNLV from the University of Utah Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences
Library, where she was the Associate Director for Education and Research. Prior to her position
at the University of Utah, she was the Director of Global Engagement at the Health Sciences
Library at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mellanye has special interests in
promoting and ensuring research reproducibility, providing systematic review services, and
creating diverse and welcoming work and library environments for faculty, students and staff.
She is currently a Medical Library Association/Association of Academic Health Sciences Libraries
Leadership Fellow, learning best practices in medical library management and leadership from
nationally-regarded directors of medical and health sciences libraries.

The UNLV Libraries and the Health Sciences Library faculty and staff are excited to welcome
Mellanye to Las Vegas and the Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine!
