The poster session committee encourages submissions from all types of libraries and on any topic relevant to librarianship. Submissions may include a description of an innovative library program; an analysis of a solution to a problem; a report of a research study; or any other presentation that would benefit the larger library community.

Are you involved in an interesting project or in an area of work that you would like to discuss with or show to other congress attendees? Why not present your work in the IFLA Poster Sessions?

Format Presentation

Your topic could be described on a printed poster or by photographs, graphics and pieces of text that you attach to the presentation panel. All IFLA official languages – Arabic, Chinese, English, French, German, Russian and Spanish – are welcome.

For printed posters, the standard poster size of DIN A0 841mm wide x 1189mm high is the minimum size. It is recommended that a printed poster be no larger than 900mm wide and 1900mm high.
If you are using photographs, graphics and pieces of text, these should also fit within the area of 900mm wide and 1900mm high.

CFP: 2015 LITA Forum

The 2015 LITA Forum Committee seeks proposals for excellent pre-conferences,
concurrent sessions, and poster sessions for the 18th annual Forum of the
Library Information and Technology Association, to be held in Minneapolis
Minnesota, November 12-15, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. This year
will feature additional programming in collaboration with LLAMA, the Library
Leadership & Management Association.

Proposals may cover projects, plans, ideas, or recent discoveries. We accept
proposals on any aspect of library and information technology. **The committee
particularly invites submissions from first time presenters, library school
students, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.**  My first professional
library conference was a LITA Forum--it was a great environment to meet other
professionals and share our research/projects!

Submit your proposal through http://bit.ly/lita-2015-proposal  by February 28,
2015.

Presentations that incorporate audience participation are encouraged.

CFP: 2015 EBSS Research Forum

The Education and Behavioral Sciences Section Research Committee is holding its
9th Annual Research Poster Forum during the ALA Annual Conference in San
Francisco, California.  The Research Forum and reception follows the
announcement and speech of the 2015 award winner for APA Excellence in
Librarianship, and will take place on the afternoon of Saturday June 27, 2015.

The Forum seeks to provide beginning and established researchers an opportunity
to present research in progress, receive collaborative feedback on their work
and recommendations for future publishing.  Research / Posters will be
simultaneously presented and discussed in small informal groups.   Attendees at
the forum will find an arena for discussion and networking with their
colleagues interested in research related issues and trends in the profession.
The committee will use a blind review process.

Proposals are due February 13, 2015.

The poster session committee encourages submissions from all types of libraries and on any topic relevant to librarianship. Poster session participants place materials such as pictures, data, graphs, diagrams and narrative text on boards that are usually 4 x 8 feet. During their assigned 1½ hour time periods, participants informally discuss their presentations with conference attendees. Twenty-first century librarianship has witnessed new forms of cooperation between librarians and the communities they serve. This conference will bring together academics and practitioners, including faculty and graduate students from library schools and iSchools, and academic, public and school librarians. The conference will focus on how collaboration and cross-disciplinary research can create new knowledge and chart a course for partnerships with deep and lasting impact.

What does non-traditional library instruction look like?  How do we innovate our instruction within and beyond the library?  California Conference on Library Instruction invites you to share your strategies for engaging with students in new and empowering ways.

Submission Information: Proposals should include a title and a description of how your poster relates to the theme.  Proposals must be submitted online at http://www.cclibinstruction.org/poster-sessions.  The deadline for submissions is March 4, 2014.  The primary contact on the proposal will be notified if the proposal has been accepted by March 18, 2014.  All poster session presenters must register and pay for the conference.  Presenters will be required to provide a PDF of their posters for inclusion in the conference proceedings prior to the date of the conference.
