The Games of the XXXI Olympiad will take place this summer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. More than 10,500 athletes are expected to compete from 206 different countries. From intimate stories of personal sacrifice to forceful impositions of nationalism, the Olympic games represent far more than international sporting competition. The following three films examine just some of the larger-than-life implications of the modern Olympics.

With the presidential election cycle in full swing, much of what we hear from the candidates amounts to nothing more than name calling and toothless sound bites. The following films examine some of the crucial issues facing America and provide a substantive starting point for serious discussion. It isn’t about taking sides. It should be about working together for the good of all Americans and the world around us. Let’s all live up to the ideal of a United States (“Everyone For Themselves” was rejected back in 1776).
