UNLV theses and dissertations dating back to 1978 are now available for researchers using ProQuest through a project spearheaded by the Scholarly Communications Initiatives department in the University Libraries.
“The number of full-text theses and dissertations from UNLV available from ProQuest now stands more than 5,000,” said John Novak, head of Scholarly Communications Initiatives. “This total is more than double the previous number of dissertations and theses available for our patrons to download.”
Overall, the project provides online access to more than 3,100 theses and dissertation written and published prior to 2009.
The department is also currently in the process of developing descriptions and making the theses and dissertations available in Digital Scholarship@UNLV, the university’s institutional repository. Dissertations published from 2009 to present are freely available to anyone in the world via the UNLV online repository.
