New Sustainability Facts have been posted in the ASL restroom by GA Andrea Wilkins. Here are the facts and sources for future reference: Did You Know? 1) Recycling 1 aluminum can saves enough energy to run your TV for 3 hours! (source: www.therecyclingchallenge.com) 2) Every ton of mixed paper recycled can save the energy equivalent of 185 gallons of gas! (source: www.epa.gov/epawaste) 3) If every American recycled just one-tenth of their newspapers, we would save about 25,000,000 trees a year! (source: www.recycling-revolution.com/recycling-facts) 4) Every month, we throw out enough glass bottles and jars to fill up a giant skyscraper. All of these jars are recyclable!
