LINK+ is a book request service that uses a shared library catalog to allow UNLV students, staff and faculty to borrow books from over 50 library systems in California and Nevada.

Using Link+

LINK+ books can be found either by searching the LINK+ catalog directly or by clicking on the LINK+ button in the University Libraries catalog.

LINK+ is fast, with an average delivery time of about 4 business days.

Status and Delivery

Borrowers can monitor the status of their LINK+ requests through “Your Account” in the Libraries Catalog.

When the status of a LINK+ request changes to “LINK+RECV’D,” the book is ready for pickup at the borrower’s preferred pickup location and a notification e-mail will be sent to the borrower’s RebelMail or Lotus Notes account.

Items not picked up after 10 days will be returned to the lending library.

Checkout and Renewal

LINK+ books can be checked out for 3 weeks. One two-week renewal is allowed if the lending library approves. You can place a renewal request online through “Your Account” in the Libraries Catalog. Check back a few minutes later to verify whether your renewal has been allowed and to check your new due date.

This is a free service available to UNLV students, faculty, and staff.

Extended use fees for LINK+ items are $1.00 per day, per book. The replacement charge for lost or damaged LINK+ books is $115.
