Accessibility commitment
UNLV Special Collections and Archives is committed to making our spaces and materials accessible to the widest possible audience, including individuals with disabilities.
Our website strives to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 A & AA) established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and uses the Accessible Rich Internet Applications (ARIA) specification. Our efforts align with NSHE’s Policy for Information and Communications Technology Accessibility.
UNLV’s Information and Communication Technology Accessibility Policy was approved by committee and signed by the Provost on January 20, 2020. For more information, visit the University’s Web Accessibility page.

Special Collections and Archives Portal
Many archival collections and materials have been digitized and made available online to support researchers who cannot visit in person.
The Special Collections and Archives Portal allows you to search and access:
- Digital materials (digital objects)
- Descriptions of archival collections (finding aids)
- Information about people and organizations represented in our collections
Digital collections include text, visual materials, audio recordings, and moving images that support education, research, service, and creative expression.
