PsycINFO: The American Psychological Association's international psychology database indexes journal articles, books and dissertations. You will find several resources relating to pets and psychology.

SocINDEX with Fulltext: Indexes the literature of sociology and related disciplines, including resources on the sociological implications of pets, pet ownership, animal rights, and more.
