UNLV Libraries Dean Patricia Iannuzzi named 2013 ACRL Academic/ Research Librarian of the Year

CHICAGO --  Patricia Iannuzzi, dean of university libraries at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), is the 2013 Association of College and Research Libraries' (ACRL) Academic/Research Librarian of the Year.  A division of the American Libraries Association, ACRL recognizes through this lifetime achievement award, an outstanding member of the library profession who has made a significant national or international contribution to the academic / research librarianship and library development.

Iannuzzi will receive a $5,000 award at 4 p.m. on Wed., April 10, 2013, during the ACRL2013 conference opening keynote session in Indianapolis.

University Libraries 2012 Survey: The Results Are In!

We are very pleased to report that overall satisfaction rate is quite high. 97% of undergraduates and graduate students, and 95% of faculty, are satisfied or very satisfied with the library. For graduate students, the areas with the largest percentage indicating satisfaction are library staff and reference/instruction/consultation services. For undergraduates, the areas with the largest percentage indicating satisfaction are library staff, services like instruction, reference and circulation, and print collections. For faculty, the areas with the largest percentage indicating satisfaction are library staff, library spaces, and librarian presentations to classes.
