Classical Scores Library, IMSLP, and Veterans Day

Need a score and can't get to the Music Library? Our Classical Scores Library database contains just over 24,000 scores, digitized and available 24/7 to UNLV affiliated faculty, staff, and students.  The Petrucci Music Library (known as IMSLP) is a wonderful free electronic resource access to printed scores, but contains only music in the public domain.  Classical Scores Library, however,  contains music not otherwise available in IMSLP or other public domain sites. The Music Library will be closed on Monday, November 13, 2012 for the observed Veterans Day holiday.

Grove Music Online, Nevada Day Hours

Need a starting place for research?  Indepth information about a composer or term?  Grove Music Online is the best starting place for all of your music information needs!  Grove Music Online contains the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, the New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, and the New Grove Dictionary of Opera.  Most recently articles from the newly published  2nd edition of Grove Dictionary of American Music have started appearing in the Grove Music Online database. Through this resource, you can find everything from composer and performer biographies to plot synopses of operas to information on jazz venues and labels.  As with all of our electronic resources, Grove Music Online is available 24/7 to UNLV affiliate faculty, staff, and
students.
