Oxford Reference Online

Looking for a definition of that musical term?  A translation of a foreign term? The plot of an opera?  Or would you like to know more about a particular character in that opera or musical?  Oxford Reference Online may have just what you are looking for. In addition to several bilingual dictionaries and general reference sources, Oxford Reference Online contains many great resources for music under the heading of "Performing Arts."  Some of the resources include The Oxford Companion to the American Musical, The International Encyclopedia Dance, The Oxford Companion to Music, A Dictionary of Opera Characters, and The Grove Book of Operas.
