Workshop Descriptions

• Lied Tour: Where are they? Books? Computers? Librarians? Find out on this quick tour of the Lied Library. 30 min.

• Find It!: Learn the tips and tricks for finding books and full text articles on your topic. Fulfills ENG102 requirements. 60 min.

• Google!: Google is much more than a search engine. Get insider hints for making Google work for you. 60 min.

• Successful Searching: Learn the secret formula that will enable you to search indexes and the Web quickly and successfully. 45 min.

• Research on the Internet: Supercharge your search with this workshop. Explore sites selected by the pros and soon you'll be searching like one too. 60 min.

Specialized Workshops

Research Clinic (RC): This special clinic is available for those who want individual assistance on their research topic. Work one-on-one with a librarian on your research topic. Find articles, books and web sites appropriate for your specific paper or speech. Clinic sizes are limited. Pre-registration is required. A research topic must be submitted at the time of pre-registration. 60 min.

RefWorks (RW): Capture citations to journal articles, books, web sites and more into your personal online database. Link to online articles, organize and share your references, and automatically create formatted bibliographies in all the major citation formats, including APA, MLA and Chicago styles.
