The Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) website provides access to a searchable database of all federal programs available to state and local governments; federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories of the U.S.; domestic, public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions.

Grants.gov (http://grants.gov/)
Grants.gov, managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, allows organizations to electronically find and apply for competitive grant opportunities from all Federal grant-making agencies. This website is the single access point for over 900 grant programs offered by the 26 federal grant-making agencies.

GrantsNet (http://www.hhs.gov/grantsnet/)
GrantsNet is an Internet application tool created by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Office of Grants Management and Policy (OGMP) for finding and exchanging information about HHS and other federal grant programs. In addition to an introduction to HHS grants, the site provides links to funding opportunities, information on the application process, and other useful grant-related resources.

Portal focuses on resources for nonprofit organizations including agency-specific nonprofit resources; fundraising and outreach, grants, loans and other assistance; and tax information.

The Foundation Center's mission is to strengthen the nonprofit sector by advancing knowledge about U.S. philanthropy. The site provides information links to "finding funders," research about philanthropy, and news publications, in addition to resources for grantsmakers, individual grantseekers, and several other groups.

The Grantsmanship Center (TGCI)-Funding Sources (http://www.tgci.com/funding/resources.asp)
TGCI was founded in 1972 to offer grantsmanship training and low-cost publications to non-profit organizations and government agencies. The TGCI funding sources web page covers all aspects of researching grants, writing grant proposals, and negotiating with funding sources. You can also find links to federal and state funding sources, community foundations, and international funding sources.

NEA site provides access to funding opportunities in various disciplines such as arts education, dance, design, literature and opera. The site also provides guidelines and application forms for the agency's competitive funding categories, including Federal Partnership funding opportunities, pre-and post-award materials for applicants recommended for a grant and for grantees, and listings of grants made to organizations and individuals.

Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education's (FIPSE) Grant Database (http://www.fipse.aed.org/)
The Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education ( FIPSE ) provides grants to support innovative educational reform projects that hold promise as models for the resolution of important issues and problems in postsecondary education. The grant database was developed by the Johns Hopkins University with support from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE), U.S. Department of Education. It allows users to search, query, or browse information and abstracts on all FIPSE discretionary grants since 1994.

American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) Grants Resource Center (GRC) (http://www.aascu.org/grc/)
The American Association of State Colleges and Universities represents more than 430 public colleges, universities and systems of higher education throughout the United States and its territories. National Library of Medicine (NLM) Extramural Programs (EP) Division (http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep/extramural.html) NLM's Extramural Programs Division website provides information on grants and fellowships available to organizations and individuals interested in applying computer and telecommunications technology to improve storage, retrieval, access, and use of biomedical information.

CRISP is a searchable database of federally funded biomedical research projects conducted at universities, hospitals, and other research institutions. The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is an independent federal agency created in 1965. It is the largest funder of humanities programs in the United States . NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities. The IMLS is an independent federal agency that fosters leadership, innovation and learning. The Fund for a Healthy Nevada was a program created to utilize the federal tobacco master settlement agreement. This program focuses on programs that improve health services for children and the health and well being of persons with disabilities. Additionally, this program is dedicated to programs that prevent, reduce or treat the use of tobacco and the consequences of the use of tobacco, funding for the Senior Rx program, and assisting senior citizens with independent living. Nevada Commission of Tourism-Rural Grants Program (http://travelnevada.biz/grants.aspx)
The Rural Grants Program helps promote activities that attract visitors to rural communities.  The funding goes to nonprofit organizations such as chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, local governments, tribal organizations, Nevada 's tourism "territories" and special events.  Each grant must be matched equally in cash or in-kind contributions such as labor and materials, and only communities with populations under 100,000 are eligible.

The Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) is a part of the Museum and Library Services Act, last authorized in 1996.
