Reprints the full text of many poems and indexes hundreds of poetry anthologies. Includes biographical information about poets and some commentary on well-known poems, as well as a glossary, a subject index, and indexes of first and last lines. The Granger's board of consultants has reviewed all the anthologies found in Granger's Online and has designated some anthologies as either "Recommended" or "Highly Recommended." It is possible to only search these anthologies.
Search tips:
- Use the bar across the top of the page to access the search options. The Quick Search and Advanced Search options only search the poems. To search for biographies, click on the Biographies tab. To search for anthologies, click on the Anthology tab. While critical context is listed in the top bar, this content is not searchable, but can be browsed.
- Words in Poem searching is available as a keyword search only; you must click on the Keyword Search button to activate the Words in Poem search. This Word search looks for an exact match of the word or words typed in the search term box. The Words in Poem search looks for matches in the exact word order as might appear in the text of complete poems and/or excerpts of poems. This search does not look for matches in titles. To find keywords in titles, select the Title, First Line, and Last Line index and click on keyword search.
- Most of the poems cited in Granger's Online are assigned one or more subjects, which are gathered in the Subject Index. In Quick Search, you can search the Subject Index for a single term at a time; if you need to search for more than one subject at a time, use the Advanced Search option.
Results are displayed alphabetically by subject; to see a list of poems associated with a subject, click on the subject in the search results list.
To browse the Subject Index in sections, select the Subject Index and enter a letter of the alphabet in the search term box. Click on Start Search to see a list of all subjects that begin with that letter.

Go to the UNLV Libraries' home page. Under Find, select Articles, then under Article databases by name, click on the letter C and select Columbia Granger's World of Poetry.
