Blackwell Synergy offers full-text content from nearly 800 journals published by Blackwell Publishing in all subjects, including the health sciences, life and physical sciences, arts and humanities, social sciences, technology, medicine, business, and education. Coverage period is 1999 to the present for most titles. Also includes indexing and abstracts for other Blackwell titles UNLV does not subscribe to, but that can be obtained through document delivery. Users may register to set up an account to save searches set up lists of favorite journals.
Search tips:
- To restrict your search to only those items UNLV subscribes to, select Advanced under Further Search Options from the bar on the right side of the page. From the advanced search page, select Journals with full access rights.
- The Simple Search enables you to search for words or phrases and use filters to refine your search. Any terms or phrases must be entered in double quotation marks when you use the Simple Search. In Simple Search, you can search:
- all journals
- one specific journal
- journal groups by discipline
- With the Advanced Search you can choose how to view the results of a performed search. There are options at the bottom of the page to view results by relevancy or date and in summary form or full record, and also how many results you wish to have displayed on a page.
Where is it :
Go to the UNLV Libraries' home page. Under Find, select Articles, then under Article databases by name, click on the letter B and select Blackwell Synergy.
