CML Circulation Policies

All borrowers may check out CML materials (except periodicals and reference) for 3 weeks with one renewal. Materials can be renewed online within the one week period before they are due.

Library Card Requirements and Privileges:

UNLV Student, Faculty, Staff - A RebelCard or other proof of enrollment at UNLV is required. Undergraduate students are limited to 50 items on their account at one time. Graduate students, faculty, and staff may have an unlimited number of items.

Teacher Borrower - A major credit card that does not expire for 1 year and teacher I.D. are required. Teacher borrowers are limited to 50 items at one time.

Public Borrower - A major credit card that does not expire for 1 year and a Nevada driver's license or Nevada I.D. card with a local street address are required. Public borrowers are limited to 5 items per checkout, per visit.

Late charges: Fines are 20¢ per item, per day, up to a maximum fine of $15 per item. If a book becomes 28 days overdue, it will be declared lost, and you will be billed the replacement cost plus a non-refundable $35.00 processing fee. To receive circulation notices, please have your current mailing address or email address on file with the library. Students with outstanding charges or overdue books will be placed on "STOP" with the Registrar, and library privileges will be suspended until the charges are cleared.

Book Returns: Please return CML materials to the CML, Lied Library, or a UNLV Libraries book drop on campus. Do not return CML materials to any public library. We are not part of the public library districts' courier services. Patrons will be responsible for accrued fines until the books are checked in at a UNLV library. Also, please do not return public library books anywhere on campus.
