CML Services

The Curriculum Materials Library provides many services to UNLV's College of Education students, staff, and faculty, as well as professional K-12 teachers in the community.

CML computer workstations provide access to the Libraries catalog, e-reserves system, specialized education databases, the Internet, email, and other resources. The CML has an 18-computer classroom for scheduled instruction sessions; these computers are available to patrons on a first come, first served basis during library hours when instruction sessions are not scheduled. The software available on these computers also include Microsoft Office applications for use by UNLV staff and students. The CML currently provides access to a total of 29 computer workstations.

CML Circulation: All borrowers may check-out CML materials for three weeks with one renewal. Late fines are 20¢ per item, per day, up to a maximum fine of $15 per item. Public borrowers are limited to 5 items per checkout, per visit. The CML has a convenient SelfCheck station located near the library's main entrance/exit.

Course Reserves: Materials are available in two formats: E-Reserves (electronic) and Physical Reserves. Both are accessed from the Libraries catalog. E-reserves are collections of materials that have been scanned and are available online. Physical Reserves are for actual physical items that, for a variety of reasons, cannot be scanned. CML Physical Reserve items are kept behind the Circulation Desk and should be requested by call number.

Copying and printing: Services are available for all library patrons with a RebelCard that has been activated for the cash option or a Rebel Guest card that can be purchased at the CML Circulation desk.

The Teacher Prep Room in the CML contains equipment designed for the preparation of instructional materials. The amenities in this room include a laminator, a poster maker, paper cutters, a spiral binding machine, die cut presses, and a wide variety of Ellision die cuts.
