Narrative                                                                         Legarza Residence

This design incorporates a private residential landscape with outdoor spaces for entertaining and family activities for year-round use. Special attention to detail and aesthetics creates a cohesive interplay between indoor and outdoor spaces. Plant material and elevation change provide varied outdoor spaces with the pool as a focal point. The use of decorative stained concrete, stacked stone planter walls, and lush green plantings provide a rich sensory experience throughout the yard.

Focus on the fireplace, pool, spa, and sunken barbeque area as the central gathering space. A well used sports court is hidden by a tall hedge of evergreen Blueberry trees while the side yard consists of an herb garden full of basil and parsley along with ample room for a ripening vineyard.

The front yard uses drought tolerant plants, boulder outcroppings, and a dry streambed to foster a sense of place among the residential community and within the Las Vegas Valley. Walk up to the door and be greeted by a small seating area with fragrant, colorful roses and large pots overflowing with green.
