M. Paul Friedberg

M. Paul Friedberg has been on the faculty of various architecture schools, he is the founder of the Urban Landscape Architecture Program at the City College of New York, and he is one of the founders of the landscape architecture firm M. Paul Friedberg & Partners. He speaks on the history of landscape architecture in the 20th century, on the public/private cooperation in the future of design space, on playgrounds as machines for play, on designing concepts that fit the user, and on the dichotomy of landscape sustainability in the desert. In 2004 he received the ASLA Design Metal the highest honor the American Society of Landscape Architects may confer upon a landscape architect for a body of exceptional design work.
