| Description: | An upscale urban cafe than connects the past with the future. Nostalgia and whimsy play a part in this dramatic renovation of a local coffee shop. "It's like the atomic 50's meets contemporary architecture." Maintaining the existing clients while attaching new faces was the challenge of this project. To top off that challenge we had to "do it in 30 days." Mission accomplished. The floor plan layout is functional; easy for staff to work and comfortable for patrons. The ceiling treatment combines angular hard lids in color accents with easy to maintain acoustical grid. The color schemes use of rusts, blues, and orange are new, exciting, and easy to live with. Finishes are coordinated by theme and coloration throughout the project. The use of a custom mosaic floor medallion with specialty light fixtures in an accent sofit above; highlight the point of entry. Artwork chosen for the design was selected from nostalgic photos of the property mixed the star of the project- food. A relaxed, comfortable, new fresh look was the order of the day. |
