The AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards are presented yearly to the individuals and organizations whose efforts and contributions benefit the community and further the profession. The jurors for the AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards were Patrick Rehse, FAIA, Terrance Brown, FAIA, and Phil Gerou, FAIA. In 2001 there were 23 submissions for AIA Nevada Distinguished Service Awards

Carol Coleman was the first recipient of the AIA Allied Member Award for her efforts and hard work on behalf of the AIA Las Vegas.

The AIA Associate Member Award was presented to Jose Gamez for his efforts as Educator Liaison between the UNLV School of Architecture and the AIA Las Vegas.
The Nevada Patron Award was presented to Edward B. Giagani for his design and management contributions to various post office facilities throughout the Southwest.
There were two recipients for the AIA Nevada Young Architect Citation: Anthony Young, AIA, and David Frommer, AIA. They were both recognized for their exceptional leadership in design, education, and service.
The AIA Nevada Service Award was also presented to David Frommer, AIA, for his significant professional contributions through service.
The Architecture Firm Award was presented to RAFI for their production of distinguished architecture for a period of well beyond ten years, professional service, and commitment to the AIA Las Vegas.
The highest honor the AIA Nevada could bestow, the Silver Medal Award, was presented to Raymond J. Lucchesi, AIA, for his long list of achievements and dedicated involvement in the community and profession.

The type and number of awards given were determined by the jury, and included Honor Award and Citation Award (Honor being the most distinguished). The categories in which awards were given were the following: Built, Unbuilt, Academic, Open, Interior Environments, and Urban Design .

The jurors for the AIA Nevada Design Awards were Carol Ross Barney, FAIA, Donna Kacmar, AIA, and Robert Campbell, FAIA.

The AIA Nevada Excellence in Design Awards are presented yearly to individuals and firms in recognition for outstanding design work. The type and number of awards earned were determined by jury and include Honor Awards, Merit Awards and Citation Awards (Honor being the most distinguished).
