Design Approach/Narrative: The Meridian is a 20,000 sf, three-story, mixed-use building. Located in the Water Street Development District of the city of Henderson. As such, the building has to follow strict guidelines of art deco (moderne) features and material, creating a pedestrian friendly setting in a downtown environment. The Meridian, a relatively small building, was designed as a true mixed-use project, with retail, office and residential components. Several explicit modern features were incorporated into the design of the building, while emphasizing the use of contemporary materials and current design expression to create a renewed vision- a style we have coined “Neo-Deco”
