| Entry Number: UB03055 Design Approach: The mild slope of the site became the design inspiration for this project. The designers decided to take advantage of the site’s natural features and burry the back end of the house to create a thermal barrier on the south facing wall. The volumes, which make up the house, are designed to resemble the stratification of naturally compacted earth. The intent of such forms is to create a harmony between the desert landscape and the house. Material in ASL Library: Form Core Boards, Project Identification Form, Project Entry Form, Client Biographies, Site Plan, Floor Plans, Photos of Model, Elevations, Sections and CD |
