Entry Number: IE03014
Project Name: McCarran International Airport Rotunda Remodel
Project Address: McCarran International Airport
Building Type: Transportation
Completion Date: 2001
Design Team:

Interior Designer: Welles-Pugsley Architects
Structural Engineer: Mendenhall/Smith – Greg Mendenhall
Electrical Engineer: Harris Consulting Engineers
Mechanical Engineer: Harris Consulting Engineers

General Contractor: Marnell Carrao Associates

Design Approach: McCarran International Airport embraced the concept of restoring the Rotunda to its original design intent. By removing the modification of the previous remodel, the shell strongly exhibits the three component structural/sculptural nature that was strongly expressed in the original design forty years earlier.
