WHAT IS IT?
The ALADN Marketplace is a designated space at the Conference containing pamphlets, brochures, booklets, newsletters, bookmarks, campaign/promotion/donor recognition materials and any other library development media (even successful grant proposals, internal correspondence, donor letters, thank-you examples, etc!), which YOU would like to share with conference participants. In the past, participants have found this to be an invaluable means of sharing successful materials with colleagues across the country.

HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE?
Bring 100 copies or more, or as many as you can afford to share (125-150 would be great!), and 125-150 copies of your business card, to the conference and deliver them to the front desk, clearly addressed as described below, when you check in. If you can only share one or two copies of something, please mark it clearly DISPLAY ONLY. If you prefer to send your materials ahead, OR if you cannot attend the conference but would like to share your materials anyway, please mail those with copies of your business card following the directions below:
Please send your materials early enough so that they arrive at the hotel NO LATER THAN SUNDAY, MARCH 26 th, BUT NOT EARLIER THAN MONDAY, March 20th!

Please Note: We suggest using a reputable shipping company (i.e., UPS, etc.), and sending large packages by ground transport.
We will also be unable to return any leftover materials to senders.
There will be no online hookup during the Marketplace; if you would like to do an online demo, please have it loaded on your stand-alone laptop.
To continue to stimulate information sharing, we are once again placing two boxes in the Marketplace area.
Box 1 will be for you to drop in your business card with an idea to improve a library development program in 30 minutes or less (i.e., immediate implementation strategies). Put the idea on the back of your business card. If you need more space, just attach a separate piece of paper to your card. BONUS: We would like to see lots of ideas, so we will be giving away a door prize. Sorry, you will have to be present to be eligible for the door prize drawing. You do not have to attend the conference, though, to submit your creative ideas. In case you won't be attending, you can submit ideas directly to marketplace@mit.edu. We will gather the ideas, collate the information and send to the listserve after the conference.
Box 2 will be for library development questions you always wanted to know about but are afraid to ask. We will also post these later on the listserve and ask people to reply.
